Doordarshan is planning to add new MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 channels in the next expansion of its free DTH service “DD Free Dish” in 2016.
The expansion date is still not confirmed.
Below is the message posted by Mr.CK Jain (Dy. Director General) in Doordarshan.

Discovery channel is a pay channel. So it won’t be added on DD Free Dish.
HD channels kab free dish par chaligi or kon sa box Lina hoga
At present DD Free Dish has no plans to start HD channels.
Only new MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 channels will be added on the new satellite GSAT-15.
Sir please add some Gujarati news channels like tv9 , gstv , vtv Gujarati .these channels are fth on Intelsat 20@ 68.5 seterlite. Pls pls

No you can’t watch MPEG-4 channels in MPEG-2 STB. At present there is no MPEG-4 channels on DD Free Dish. So I request you to wait for few more days to buy new MPEG-4 STB till DD Free Dish start new channels.

22K, ON, OFF me tv Channel set nahi hote. ON ke Signal laye to OFF signal lost hote, aur OFF ke Signal laye to ON ke signal lost hote hai.
